just say:

didn't work out
that well
for us

but
that
would be a lie

things
DID work out
pretty much well
for ONE of us

and
that
is how it goes

winners
pairing
with losers

there's
the kisser
and there's the kissed

there's the bullet
and something else

I could
just say
all those
politically correct things
that
everyone else
would readily say
once the ride
is done

but that
would be a BIG DAMN
lie

a BAD lie

and I'm
pretty much sure
that
one of us
gets IT all

that's how
things
DO work out.
